Meet the Team: Annie McIntee
Meet Annie: our account manager with a passion for wellness and taking time to try the new matcha latte spot in town. Meet annie!
WHAT IS YOUR ROLE HERE AT INGRID & ISABEL?
I manage all Ingrid & Isabel wholesale accounts.
LET’S DO AN ICE BREAKER! IF YOU WERE A CANDY BAR, WHICH CANDY BAR WOULD YOU BE?
Ahh this is so hard! I’m more of a Sour Patch Kid kind of girl.
WHAT ARE SOME OF THE THINGS YOU THINK ABOUT EVERYDAY AS AN ACCOUNT MANAGER?
Are my accounts happy with our brand, products & service? What is happening in the maternity market and how will that affect sales? Is our brand representation accurate and consistent across all channels?
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR FAVORITE PROJECT SO FAR AT INGRID & ISABEL?
I’ve loved every opportunity to lead the on boarding of a major new account. It’s a collaborative effort on all fronts and feels so satisfying once we go live and that first sale comes through!
WHAT ARE SOME MISCONCEPTIONS YOU DISLIKE THAT PEOPLE GENERALLY HAVE ABOUT WORKING IN THE FASHION INDUSTRY?
That we’re all superficial and oblivious to the negative impact that the apparel industry has on the environment. I admire the companies that are leading the initiative to minimizing fashions carbon footprint by focusing on sustainable materials.
AS A WOMAN IN AMERICA, HOW DO YOU FEEL THE WORKPLACE HAS IMPROVED AND WHAT’S SOMETHING WE CAN DO TO CHANGE IT FOR THE BETTER?
I think it’s important that awareness and a strong voice has been brought to the issue of workplace inequality. It feels like the gap is slowly but surely approaching equal ground. I grew up in a household where my mom was the breadwinner and my dad was “Mr. Mom”. I never questioned the fact that it wasn’t “the norm” and think that we need more strong men in this world that aren’t afraid to stand beside and encourage a women’s voice, success and strength!
WHERE DO YOU SEE THE FASHION INDUSTRY HEADING IN THE NEXT 10 YEARS?
I see it heading in a direction of inclusivity. Inclusive of all sizes, genders, races and sexual orientations. The more people see this as normal the closer we get to equality for all.
WHAT’S YOUR MOTTO OR PERSONAL MANTRA?
Treat others the way you want to be treated OR everything in moderation 😊
IF YOU COULD HAVE DINNER WITH A FAMOUS PERSON(s) IN HISTORY (CELEBRITY, HIGH PROFILE PERSON, LIVING OR DEAD) WHO WOULD IT BE?
OMG - Anthony Bourdain has been my numero uno for so long!! He was my favorite storyteller who always incited a sense of adventure and curiosity for the people and places our world has to offer.
