7 Must-Haves For Your Baby Shower

Planning for a special day like your baby shower can be stressful, but the reality is it doesn’t have to be, Mama.
San Diego based wedding + event planner Heather Balliet of Amorology provides us with 7 tips on creating the perfect environment for your celebratory day.

  1. Dessert, Dessert, Dessert!

Don't hesitate to indulge the mama to be and her guests with something tasty from a traditional cake, to a crepe bar.
A fun dessert display can satisfy all of the sweetest cravings!

  2. Know Your Tribe!

If you will be having little ones at your shower, make sure to include them! A mini table of activities for the babes is a fun way to give the little ones a place to play and stay busy while the mamas enjoy the party!

  3. Who Doesn't Love Gifts?

Finding a way to give guests personalized favors is always a good way to make them feel welcome and thought of! When you can incorporate favors into the design like we did with personalized name patches, all the better! We love doubling design items as fun takeaways for the guests!

  4. It's Not All Fun and Games!

Step away from the typical and expected games you've played at every other baby shower and do something different and don't feel you have to force a game into the mix of your party! If your guest of honor is more conversation over competition, know her vibe and let that take the lead for the party!

  5. Invite to Excite!

Your invitation sets the tone for your event and concept. Take things playful or pretty and give your guests something to look forward too! P.S. don't forget to give your guests access to all things you will be needing for the baby with your registry! And in lieu of a card, ask guests to bring something to add to the baby's nursery such as a book or bag of diapers! It will help the mama to be to stock up on much-needed nursery items, or create a curated collection for the baby's library!

  6. Play with your Food!

No one said food was only meant for eating! You can use it for design and decor by supplementing fresh fruit and veggies with your florals to create an unexpected centerpiece!
And a plus, they are yummy too!

  7. Create Cozy Spaces for your Guests to Lounge In.

Don't be afraid to have some fun creating seating that is both comfortable and stylish!
